Tool 4 – Classroom or paper simulations

 

The forecaster is given specific situations and asked to take appropriate action.  Performance criteria relating to forecasting are not assessed.   Rather, the simulation elicits action taken once a specific forecast process is complete.  The forecaster is asked to either participate in a role play situation or to describe all steps which would be taken.  The forecaster is asked to provide a briefing either to a hypothetical client or to another forecaster
