The AMP is asked to answer, either in writing or verbally, the following questions:
1. (a) What are your responsibilities in your job?
(b) What are the performance standards for your unit?
(c) What is the process to be followed to report deficiencies or to propose changes to increase efficiency.
(d) Where are the significant documents or reports kept?
2. (a) For what operational systems or equipment are you responsible?
(b) How is proper functioning verified?
(c) What process if followed for each one if failures are noted?
3. The observer is given one or more daily observation records with errors and asked to identify any missing information or any errors in format. Similarly, the observer is given one or more days of METAR/SPECI reports and asked to note errors or missing data.
4. What are the criteria for SPECI issuance? Provide example of where a SPECI would be issued even if SPECI criteria not crossed.
If the questions are posed verbally, the assessor must take notes in order to document the results.
