Observing barometric pressure

Performance Criterion Description:

The observer can accurately evaluate barometric pressure.

Scenario:       

During an assessment period the observer is asked to apply knowledge and skill in order to evaluate barometric pressure.

Evidence:

The observer must use appropriate knowledge, techniques and instrumentation to accurately assess atmospheric pressure parameters including

• station pressure
• sea level pressure
• altimeter setting
• pressure changes
• pressure tendency
