Warnings are issued in a timely fashion

Performance Criterion Description:

The forecaster must ensure that warnings are issued at the appropriate time.   

Evidence:

The forecaster applies knowledge and skill to produce and issue warnings within an allotted period while at the same time

• maintaining an ongoing review  and assessment of  the weather situation
• issuing unscheduled forecasts or warnings as necessary
• issuing forecast amendments or updates in accordance with amendment criteria
• issuing warnings on time including

· SIGMETs

· aerodrome warnings

· windshear warnings and alerts
