Forecasts have the correct code/format
Performance Criterion Description:
The forecaster ensures that forecast are
issued with correct coding and format.
Scenario:
During an assessment period the forecaster is
asked to issue the forecasts necessary within the area of responsibility using
correct coding and format.
Evidence:
The forecaster applies knowledge of coding
and format to correctly issue forecasts according to ICAO/WMO standards and
local rules.
- issuing forecasts according to approved
procedures and processes
- applying rules of forecast writing
- applying rules and procedures of
correction
- correctly issues TAF, landing and
take-off forecasts, SIGMETS, Trend forecasts, etc.
- correctly uses ICAO templates for
forecasts
- correctly uses WMO code form for
forecasts
- correctly uses formats agreed upon
between Met Authority and Operators
- correctly uses approved ICAO/WMO
abbreviations
