Forecasts are issued on time

Performance Criterion Description:

The forecaster must ensure that scheduled forecast products are issued at the appointed time.   

Scenario:       

During an assessment period the forecaster is asked to issue the regularly scheduled forecasts within an area of responsibility.

Evidence:

The forecaster applies knowledge and skill to produce and issue regularly scheduled forecasts within an allotted period while at the same time

• maintaining an ongoing review  and assessment of  the weather situation
• issuing unscheduled forecasts or warnings as necessary
• issuing forecast amendments in accordance with amendment criteria
• producing concise regular scheduled forecasts with the allotted period of time
• issuing forecasts on time including

· TAFs

· landing forecasts

· take-off forecasts

· SIGMETs

· low level flight forecasts

· aerodrome warnings

· windshear warnings and alerts
