Applying Amendment Criteria.

Performance Criterion Description:

The forecaster must know and apply knowledge of amendment criteria to facilitate the timely issuance of amended forecast bulletins.

Scenario:       

During an assessment period the forecaster is presented with a series of weather changes typically experienced within his area of responsibility. The forecaster must apply his/her knowledge of amendment criteria and make timely amendments to forecast bulletins. 

Evidence:

The forecaster must amend bulletins effectively as evidenced by:

• noting weather nearing an amendment threshold
• proactively amending the forecast when beneficial
• responding in a timely manner when amendment criteria are reached
• applying knowledge of amendment criteria
• cosidering non-essential but beneficial amendment situations
