The forecaster analyses the current meteorological situation in space and time. 

Scenario: 

Forecaster analyses weather parameters and features significant to aviation meteorology

During an assessment period, the forecaster is asked to analyse the weather situation, considering surface and upper air features.  

Evidence:

The forecaster utilizes available data such as

• surface data
• upper air information
• objective analyses
• remote sensed data

to construct a comprehensive analysis of

• cloud
• precipitation
• restrictions to visibility
• surface and upper winds
• areas of significant weather
• jetstream and tropopause
• synoptic features including motion
